Campaigns, Marketing and Admin Assistant
(Leeds+ and Story+)
[APPLICATIONS CLOSED]

Location: Greek Street, Leeds

Employment Type: Full Time or Part Time

Salary: £25,500-£29,000 DOE

Deadline: 17th February 2025

Summary

Social video platform Leeds+ and the wider Story+ media company is looking for a one-of-a-kind marketer come commercial coordinator to help improve our client communications, creative campaigns and internal operations.

This is a varied, fast-paced role - working with a small and dynamic team from our Leeds city centre office and sometimes for partners across the UK. The role might suit a marketing assistant, production coordinator or commercial administrator - with great communication skills and some understanding of media production and/or publishing.

You’ll work across commercial opportunities, manage existing relationships, help to plan longer-term projects, deliver post-campaign analyses and provide creative marketing ideation and administrative support across the business.

You’ll receive 25 days’ holiday, development opportunities and plenty of perks - not least being the first to know about (and try!) all things new in Leeds.

The Role

Story+ is the company behind Leeds+, the city’s social-first news platform. We’re a team of video storytellers passionate about building audiences and crafting narratives that cut through on social media - both for our own platforms and also directly for partners, sponsors and other clients too.

Through stand-out video campaigns, our videographers and journalists push the boundaries of digital content creation time and time again - but the content isn’t the whole story. Many of our clients work with us on an ongoing basis, and need us to help pre-plan, manage and report on multifaceted campaigns. There are many opportunities for new ideas, new sales approaches and better processes across the Leeds+ and Story+ sides of the business - with this position key in delivering these.

You’ll play an important role in nurturing inbound sales leads, project managing ongoing campaigns, reporting on past campaigns and supporting with other admin and creative production tasks across the business.

You’ll take pride in the details, and enjoy crafting a compelling marketing email or itemised quote as much as maintaining the CRM system, sales pipeline records and coming up with creative ideas for a commercial proposal.

We’re not necessarily looking for an expert marketer or sales exec, but rather a digital native and excellent communicator with sharp business awareness - and an understanding of the creative platforms and processes businesses like ours rely on. Experience working in video production, social media management or paid social advertising would be beneficial - but isn’t essential.

About Story+

Leeds+ was launched at the height of the pandemic, mid-lockdown and with the world at a standstill. In the time since, our small team of experienced journalists and videographers have reached tens of millions across all major social media platforms, producing compelling native social video features on all things Leeds.

We’re here to explore key local issues, putting people at the heart of every story as well as celebrating the great food, drink and events that make our city the place it is - often through partnerships with other brands and businesses across the city.

But it doesn’t stop there - under the wider Story+ brand we often take the role of creative video agency, helping commercial clients tell their own stories too, and working with them to engage, market to and build loyal audiences on social media. We shoot for social, knowing how best to stop thumbs scrolling and helping brands stand out from the noise. We’re an expanding team working in the heart of Leeds city centre and with a studio and production facility at our disposal, and are now at a really exciting point in our journey.
