(Leeds+ and Story+)
[APPLICATIONS CLOSED]
Location: Greek Street, Leeds
Employment Type: Full Time
Salary: £26,000-£31,000 DOE
Deadline: 17th February 2025
Summary
Social video platform Leeds+ is looking for a Social Video Producer to join the team, creating short-form video content for our audiences and clients, and posting it to our 400,000 followers. This is a busy, creative role - working full-time with a small and dynamic team from our Leeds city centre office and sometimes for partners across the UK.
The role might suit a self-shooting video producer, director, videographer or content creator - skilled in modern video storytelling and professional video techniques - and familiar with the major social media platforms. You must be able to edit to a high standard on Adobe Premiere Pro.
You’ll receive 25 days’ holiday, expert in-house training and plenty of perks - not least being the first to know about (and try!) all things new in Leeds.
Story+ is an exciting, growing media company where no two days are the same and some weekend work is required. We’re looking for someone passionate about creating compelling short-form video on our own platforms (like Leeds+) and our clients’ to join us at this important point in our story!
The Role
Story+ is the company behind Leeds+, the city’s social-first news platform. We’re a team of video storytellers crafting narratives that cut through on social media - both for our own platforms and also directly for partners, sponsors and other clients too.
Through stand-out video campaigns, our videographers and journalists push the boundaries of digital content creation time and time again. That’s what we want from you; someone with a real eye for detail and ‘no limits approach’ to your craft. You’ll have a depth of experience commanding shoots and know everything that’s needed to bring a story to life through video - from good planning through to the final edit.
We’re looking for someone who can strengthen our video storytelling capacity, well versed in video production at all stages. You’ll be a competent self-shooter, with real-world experience filming on professional camera equipment, identifying stories and producing guests.
You’ll be an advanced user of the Adobe Creative Cloud, in particular Premiere Pro, and be comfortable constructing narratives in edits that could include scripts, on-screen text and other storytelling tools. We want someone to help us build on the momentum behind our growing social media channels, and take the lead on commercial video projects too - working seamlessly with partners to achieve their goals.

About Story+
Leeds+ was launched at the height of the pandemic, mid-lockdown and with the world at a standstill. In the time since, our small team of experienced journalists and videographers have reached tens of millions across all major social media platforms, producing compelling native social video features on all things Leeds.
We’re here to explore key local issues, putting people at the heart of every story as well as celebrating the great food, drink and events that make our city the place it is - often through partnerships with other brands and businesses across the city.
But it doesn’t stop there - under the wider Story+ brand we help commercial clients tell their own story too, working with clients to engage, market to and build loyal audiences on social media. We shoot for social, knowing how best to stop thumbs scrolling and helping brands stand out from the noise.
